One of my favorite trips I have taken as an adult was to Italy. We visited Venice, Florence, Rome, Asisi, Pisa, and Lucca.

I researched the local specialties in each area we visited. In some places we did formal tours with a tour guide and in others we just wandered around discovering the area for ourselves. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
